Our mission is to serve and grow our community’s passion for high quality and unique craftsmanship and build the connection between the people, the trees and the planet.
As a central Indiana source of the highest quality of domestic wood, we also love supporting local woodworkers and we could probably talk about trees and wood all day!Â
Wood + The Woodshop
With a huge selection of domestic wood from sustainably sourced trees (that we cut down by hand) and a shop full of tools, this is where our creativity can get really custom. Unique boards can make some really unique pieces and with some extra finesse and shop skills, our woodworking services can add a really special touch to any home or office.
From floor to ceiling, we can customize your space with our handmade tongue and groove flooring to some custom trim and crown molding.Â
Or furnish your home with some sweet live-edge shelving and countertops, end grain butcher block coffee tables and cutting boards, a custom kitchen table and a rustic mantle fireplace, or a new bar or built-in …
We think trees rock and we certainly love wood.Â

Isaiah
Isaiah Benakovich is the owner and founder of Benakovich Builders. He has been serving Indiana and Illinois in the building and construction field since 2001. With his experience of framing hundreds of new home builds, he quickly realized how important superior craftsmanship and attention to fine detail matters in the building process when the goal is to build a quality structure.Â
After getting into the roofing industry, he saw more mistakes and talked to countless home owners that were being taken advantage of. Coming from the small town of Monon, IN he developed a special relationship with many local farmers and families and has enjoyed providing quality builds for many of these hardworking folks.Â

Isaiah loves efficiency and takes pride in being able to deliver excellence on the job and in the shop. He’s almost always up for a good challenge and has completed jobs with quality craftsmanship while saving home and business owners money when other companies have fallen short.
As our “Chief Creative Carpenter” … he has been given the gifts of creativity and vision … he can see the project before it’s complete. Teamed with his years of experience, leadership skills, and desire to produce quality … he makes for a extraordinary leader for his team!

family
When it comes to the outdoors, it’s where we love to be! Isaiah grew up helping his grandpa on his farm in northern Indiana and always preferred to be outside even as a kid. Lauren grew up in small town Whitestown, IN by the fields in a magical plot of woods and spent most of her childhood outside, too. It’s safe to say that we have both fallen in love with the woods!
We’re trying to instill the love of nature and outdoors in our children, too …
We discovered that working together closely as a family was one of our highest mutual priorities in life. At times, four kids can prove to be a challenge … but when we work together … life is simply better.
While we don’t let the babies nail a steel roof on (yet), we enjoy entangling our work into our family so our children can learn from us how to run a truly fulfilling business that has a positive impact on others.
We love having the opportunity to help other families build their dreams and it becomes part of ours. We look forward to connecting with you and your family!
